DCIM repatriates 244 immigrants via Emsaed border crossing
The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) IN Libya has repatriated 244 immigrants via Emsaed border crossing.
The exercises, according to information obtained from Migrant Rescue Watch were carried out between January 18 and 22, 2026.
The information reads: “DCIM repatriated from Al-Bayda Immigration Detention Center 39 #migrants incl 4 women & 1 child of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed border crossing. The group comprise of medical, security restrictions, beggary and illegal entry cases.
“In separate procedure DCIM transferred 35 undocumented #migrants of Bangladeshi nationality from Tobruk IDC to Qanfoudah IDC for completion of legal procedures and repatriation.”
On January 22, Migrant Rescue Watch reported that the DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center a total of 215 #migrants. “1st group of Egyptian #migrants was repatriated via Emsaed land border crossing.
“2nd group of #migrants was transferred to Qanfoudah IDC in Benghazi for repatriation. Reported nationalities: Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Somalia and Sudan.”
Migrant Rescue Watch also informed that the DCIM repatriated from East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center in Tajoura 25 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport in Tripoli, adding that the DCIM transferred from Qanfoudah IDC in Benghazi to Tobruk IDC 69 #migrants of Egyptian nationality for repatriation. The group comprised of medical and security restrictions cases.
Lastly, Migrant Rescue Watch said the DCIM transferred from Al-Jufra IDC to Al-Shatti IDC 10 undocumented #migrants of sub-Saharan nationalities in preparation of their repatriation.
