DCIM repatriates 179 via Mitiga Int. Airport, Emsaed land border crossing

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration in Libya has repatriated 179 immigrants of different nationalities.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, the immigrants were repatriated via Mitiga Int. Airport, Emsaed land border crossing.

“DCIM in coordination with Pakistan consular and IOM support repatriated from East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center in Tajoura 44 #migrants of Pakistani nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport in Tripoli, Migrant Rescue Watch said, adding that the DCIM repatriated/transferred from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center in 2 separate ops a total of 72 #migrants. All #migrants of Egyptian nationality were repatriated via Emsaed land border crossing.

All other immigrants  were transferred to Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi for completion of legal procedures and repatriation. Nationalities: Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

Migrant Rescue Watch also noted that the DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center 59 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.

It added that the DCIM in response to report conducted raid in Boatni area (Benghazi) on a domicile used by undocumented Nigerian #migrants for acts of sorcery and immoral practices. All those present were arrested and subsequently transferred to DCIM HQ for legal action.

“DCIM (Southern Region) during recent security operations in Umm al-Aranib Municipality dismantled an unlicensed place of warship, seized vehicles with quantity of fuel earmarked for smuggling  and raided sites used by undocumented #migrants for prostitution and illicit drug consumption.”
