Libyan Red Crescent, Maritime Rescue Unit recoverimmigrants’ bodies
Libyan Red Crescent, Al-Khums and Sabratha branches and Maritime Rescue Unit have recovered bodies of immigrants washed ashore.
According to Migrant Rescue Watch “Libyan Red Crescent (Al-Khums Branch) recovered jointly with police 1 unidentified body of #migrant washed ashore in Celine area. The body was transferred to local authorities for completion of legal procedures.
“Also the Libyan Red Crescent (Sabratha Branch) jointly with Counter Security Threats Agency recovered 1 unidentified body of #migrant off the coast of Sorman. The body was transferred by Ambulance & Emergency Service to local authorities for completion of procedures.”
In a similar operation, the Maritime Rescue Unit recovered off the coast of Zliten 1 unidentified body of #migrant found floating at sea. The body was handed over to Al-Manara Center in Zliten for completion of legal procedures.”
Migrant Rescue Watch subsequently made an update announcing that “Maritime Rescue Unit received a report of 2nd unidentified body of #migrant washed on the Al-Qazahiya beach (Zliten).”
