Libyan authorities arrest Egyptian migrant for killing fellow national
The CID arrested in Qasr Libya, an undocumented Egyptian migrant (‘M.Sh.’) on charges of murder of another Egyptian national, Migrant Rescue Watch said.
The accused was identified with the help of a witness (also an Egyptian national).
Following police interrogation and witness testimony, the accused, according to Migrant Rescue Watch admitted to committing the crime and was referred to public prosecution for legal action.
Migrant Rescue Watch also said that Patrols of Passport Investigation Bureau apprehended in Ajdabiya nine undocumented migrant females with children of different nationalities for panhandling in public areas. All have been transferred to HQ for legal action.
In another development, the Libyan Red Crescent (Tobruk Branch) provided medical assistance, meals and psychological support to 130 #migrants currently held in Tobruk Immigration Detention Center.
