DCIM returns 164 Nigerians, Egyptians

The Department for combating Illegal Migration DCIM has repatriated a total of 164 Nigerians and Egyptians.

One hundred and thirty eight Nigerians and 26 Egyptians make up the number.  

The details of the repatriation posted by Migrant Rescue Watch read: “DCIM in cooperation of Nigerian Embassy and with IOM support repatriated from Tripoli 138 #migrants incl. 56 women and 15 children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport.

“DCIM repatriated from Al-Tamimi Bureau 26 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.”

Migrant Rescue Watch  also announced that “Units of Rahba Al-Duru Bn. during security patrols in Tajoura arrested 4 #migrants of sub-Saharan nationalities for illegal sale of homemade alcohol known as “Bokha”. The individuals were referred to police for legal action. “

I added that CID in a joint operation with LBG (MoI) arrested in Ghadames 1 Libyan national and 2 females of Algerian and Syrian nationalities for running human smuggling and prostitution network.

The accused, it said were also found in possession of an unregistered weapon (Kalashnikov) and quantity of hallucinogenic pills. The case was referred to Public Prosecutor’s Office for legal action
