Amy Pope relishes meeting with Ukraine’s Zelenskyy
International Organization for Migration Chief, Amy Pope has relished her meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy.
Both took to their handle to announce the meeting.
Pope assured that IOM stands firm by Ukraine.
The IOM Chief said: “Honored to meet with H.E. @ZelenskyyUa to reiterate @unmigration’s commitment to addressing the humanitarian needs of the Ukrainian people and to supporting their long-term recovery efforts.
IOM stands with the people of Ukraine and those affected by the war.”
Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy on his part tweeted: “I met with @IOMchief Amy Pope to discuss @UNmigration’s priority activities in Ukraine, which include assisting internally displaced people, facilitating their employment, and providing mental health support.
I invited the IOM to join the effort to build bomb shelters in schools to ensure safe education for children in our communities.”
Zelenskyy appreciated the Director General’s visit, “and I thank the IOM for assisting Ukrainian families.”
