Nouhadhibou to Canaries: Migrants’ whereabouts unknown- AlarmPhone
Alarm Phone, an organization that provides independent support for people crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the EU has expressed concern about the whereabouts of unspecified number of migrants who left Nouhadhibou to Canaries on December 3.
Alarm Phone asked rhetorically ” Where are they?” as it went on to say “We still have no news of a boat that left #Nouhadhibou for the #Canaries on December 3. Authorities cannot confirm anything and relatives are becoming increasingly worried as the days go by!”
Alarm Phone also expressed worries about 41 people in distress in north of Crete, Greece.
“We were alerted to a group at sea who are in danger and need urgent rescue! The group report high waves and bad weather conditions. @Hcoastguard have been informed: rescue now and don’t delay!
“We lost contact to the group and received no helpful information from the @Hcoastguard regarding this case. However according to local news reports, a group of 41 people matching this boat was found off the coast of #Kissamos, #Crete and brought to land!”
