Three drivers attempting to smuggle migrants arrested

Three drivers, 1 Sudanese and 2 Libyan have been arrested for attempting to smuggle migrants.

The suspects and their victims have been transferred to Bir al-Ashhab Security Directorate.

A statement by Migrant Rescue Watch said “Police patrols in separated incidents west of Bir al-Ashhab arrested 3 drivers (1 Sudanese and 2 Libyan) during an attempted human smuggling of undocumented #migrants incl. women and children of Sudanese nationality.

“The accused and #migrants were transferred to Bir al-Ashhab Security Directorate pending referral to Public Prosecutor’s Office. #migrantcrisis #DontTakeToTheSea #seenotrettung #Frontex”
