Amy Pope excited by reception in Kenya, Ethiopia
The Director General of the International Organization for Migration, IOM, Amy Pope says she was excited by the reception she received in Kenya and Ethiopia during her visit.
“Received such a warm welcome from @IOMKenya and @IOMRONairobi colleagues,” she said on her official X handle.
Speaking on her reason for the trip, Amy Pope said: “My visit to Kenya is part of my inaugural trip as @iomchief. I am excited to meet with colleagues, partners and government leaders who share a common vision of making migration work for all.

the IOM Chief had earlier expressed gladness about her visit to Ethiopia. “I just completed an amazing first trip to #Ethiopia as @iomchief.
“Grateful for all the inspiring conversations I had with government leaders, partners and colleagues.”
Through continued collaboration, she said “we can truly make migration work for all.”
