Police apprehend 24 migrants, DCIM repatriates 28
Twenty four migrants of different nationalities have been apprehended after a security check in Benghazi.
This is as the Department for Combating Illegal Migration, DCIM, repatriated 28 migrants of Egyptian nationality.
This was disclosed by the Migrant Rescue Watch in an update on migration issues in Libya.
It said: “Ras Ibaida Police Dept. during security checks in Benghazi apprehended 25 #migrants of different nationalities. All transferred to DCIM custody for completion of legal procedures.
“DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center 28 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing. The group comprised of 25 security and 3 medical cases.”
In another development, Migrant Rescue Watch said the “DCIM transferred from Al-Bayda Immigration Detention Center to Qanfoudah IDC in Benghazi a total of 31 Egyptian.”
