25 migrants,including pregnant women land in Kos
Twenty five migrants including children and pregnant women have reportedly landed in Kos, Greece.
AlarmPhone who broke the news initially put the figure at 16 but subsequently updated it to 25.
Police said they had found migrants but AlarmPhone wished they could be allowed to apply for asylum in Greece.
Announcing the arrival of the migrants in Kos, AlarmPhone said: “16 people including 2 children and 2 pregnant women who landed on #Kos, #Greece!
“We alerted the @Hcoastguard who told us they would take care of the case. They need urgent rescue and medical assistance now!”
Few hours after the above announcement, AlarmPhone provided an update. It said: “We called the police and they informed us that they have found the group of 25 (instead of 16) people at the indicated location.
We hope they will be now brought to a place of safety and can apply for asylum in #Greece !”
