Seebrüecke International a German Non Governmental Organization that want safe passage and an end to criminalisation of civil sea rescue, has shared its thought with migrants who died in various shipwrecks in the Mediterranean Sea.

Following the endless deaths on the sea, Seebrüecke International expressed anger angry at the European policy of sealing off borders, which the organization blamed for calamities in the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean, Seebrüecke International said is one of the most dangerous flight routes in the world. “In the last week there have been two shipwrecks near #Lampedusa alone. In the shipwreck on Sunday a week ago, a 2-year-old girl died and 8 people were reported missing.

“In another shipwreck on Tuesday, a young woman died and 46 other people were rescued. Our thoughts are with the deceased, their families and friends.

“@MSF_Sea report that an average of 8 people have died or gone missing in the Central Mediterranean every day since the beginning of the year. The EU is knowingly endangering human lives by delaying or inadequately coordinating rescue operations.

“We mourn the loss of every single person and are angry at the European policy of sealing off borders, which is causing these deaths in the first place. We demand safe passage, freedom of movement for all and an end to European sealing-off borders!”
