Libya repatriates Bangladeshi migrants, arrests two Nigerians

The Libyan authorities have repatriated a large group of Bangladeshi migrants and arrested two Nigerians for drug trafficking and sale of home-made alcohol.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, the “DCIM in cooperation of the Bangladesh Embassy and with support of IOM repatriated from Tripoli a large group of Bangladeshi migrants who were detained in IDCs.

“Department for Combating Drugs and Smuggling of Libyan Customs Authority arrested inside foreign workers’ camp in Madinat Al-Zahra 2 Nigerian #migrants for drug trafficking and sale of home-made alcohol.

“During search officer found large quantities of hashish, Tramadol pills and alcohol. The accused were referred to Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Dept. for prosecution.”
