Israeli Frontex drone that crashed into the Mediterranean was Karma at work

Sea Watch International has described the Israeli Frontex drone that crashed into the Mediterranean as the result of karma.

Sea Watch International made the remark in a post on its x handle.

It said: “Frontex’s Israeli spy drones keep taking a swim in the Med. This time off Malta. Must be the karma for a a surveillance program that’s burned through €200M+ in EU contracts just to watch people drown. War-economies and forced migration are two sides of the same coin.

“A third Israeli drone operating for #Frontex crashed in the Mediterranean, but details remain secret. Maltese military claims to have recovered wreckage. The EU border agency’s headquarter is “not in a position to reveal further operational details”:

“drone crashes in the Med. Frontex uses them to tip off the Libyan militias who intercept & abduct people trying to cross. They’re “battle-tested” in Israel, that’s the selling point. The war industry drives conflict & profits by blocking escape.

“Every downed drone exposes the priorities: Millions spent on border violence. Not schools, not hospitals, but the infrastructure of exclusion. Downed drones bring some joy but the calculus is bleak.

“The Frontex drone contract runs through Airbus using Israeli IAI drones. Instead of sanctioning Israel, Germany funds the genocide & uses the drones to patrol Europe’s deadliest border. We condemn surveillance used to strip people of freedom: in Palestine, on the Med, everywhere.”
