DCIM apprehends 410 undocumented immigrants

The Department for Combating Illegal Migrant,(DCIM) in Libya, has apprehended 410 undocumented immigrants in different operations.

The DCIM (Southern Region) according to Migrant Rescue Watch on April 12,  conducted raid on a farm on the outskirts of Al-Qatrun. The farm was being used by smugglers for harbouring of undocumented #migrants.

The operation resulted in apprehension of 65 #migrants including  12 women and 3 children. All transferred to IDC in Al-Qatrun for completion of legal procedures.

“DCIM (Southern Region) (April 11) during enhanced security operations in Al-Shuwayrif area apprehended 153 undocumented #migrants of different nationalities. All transferred to IDC for completion of legal procedures and repatriation.

“On April  10, the  DCIM (Southern Region) continues to conduct security operations in Al-Shuwayrif area aimed at enforcing law and public order as well as combating criminal activities and illegal immigration.” 

Migrant Rescue Watch on April 9, said the DCIM conducted raid on a human smuggling site in Benghazi (Al-Kuwayfiyah district) and apprehended 52 Egyptian #migrants incl. minors readying for boat crossing. All transferred to IDC for completion of legal procedures and repatriation.

The DCIM (Southern Region) on April 8, conducted raid on a smugglers’ site in Al-Qatrun and apprehended 140 undocumented #migrants of sub-Saharan nationalities.
