3,013 migrants dead, missing in Central Mediterranean
A total of 3,013 migrants died or got missing along Central Mediterranean route between January 2024 and December 2025.

48,878 migrants intercepted, returned to Libya in two years – Voice For African Migrants
1,314 of the cases were recorded in 2025 while 1699 was recorded in 2024.
The information showed that 2024 death/missing migrants’ cases was 385 higher than what was recorded in 2025.
