DCIM repatriates 772 from Tajuora, 223 others from separate centres

The Depart for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Libya, has repatriated 772  migrants from  immigration centre in Tajuora and 223 others from separate other centres in its recent operations.

The DCIM on Monday released deportation statistics for East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center in Tajoura revealing that 772 migrants of different nationalities were repatriated from the center in the month of January 2026, information obtained from Migrant Rescue Watch’s X handle  said.

On February 8, 2026, Migrant Rescue Watch said the  DCIM (Southeast Branch) repatriated from Kufra Immigration Detention and Deportation Center 140 #migrants of Chadian nationality via land border crossing. The group incl. security restrictions and medical cases, adding that the “DCIM repatriated with the Pakistan Embassy and IOM support 29 #migrants of Pakistani nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport Tripoli. The group was released from East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center in Tajoura.”

On February 06, 2026 , Migrant Rescue Watch said the DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center 54 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.

It also noted that the  DCIM patrol on February 04, arrested at Dhurwa Gate 2 Egyptian #migrants who attempted to flee #Libya with stolen money. “The individuals were found in possession of 15,000 LYD (ca. 2,368 USD) which were reported stolen by a Libyan citizen.Both suspects were handed over to CID in Al-Abyar for completion of legal procedures.”
