Five minors in danger in Bulgaria, 45 at risk in Central Med
Five minors are in danger in Bulgaria and 45 others at risk in Central Mediterranean, Alarm Phone said in separate statements.
Alarm Phone is an organization that provides independent support for people crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the EU.
Alarm Phone in one of the messages shares on its social media handle said: “in #Bulgaria! Alarm Phone was alerted to 5 minors in a precarious situation. Reportedly, 1 person is unconscious. The weather is rough, the group is suffering from cold, rain & hunger. Authorities are informed. We urge them to provide medical care & grant access to asylum!”
In another post, Alarm Phone said “SOS 45 lives at risk in the Central Mediterranean! Alarm Phone is in touch with a group who fled #Libya in a wooden boat. Because of strong wind and high waves they need immediate rescue, but #Malta and #Italy refuse responsibility. Rescue needed now!”
