Libyan Coast Guard interdicts boat with 92 Bangladeshis, Libyan Special Naval Forces apprehend 80 migrants

Libyan Coast Guard has  interdicted a  boat with 92 Bangladeshis. This is as  Libyan Special Naval Forces in conjunction with the DCIM  apprehended 80 migrants of  different nationalities in a separate operation. This is according to information made available by Migrant Rescue Watch.

According to  Migrant Rescue Watch, “Libyan Coast Guard (Gen.Cmd.) interdicted 50 nm N of Al-Tamimi a boat with 92 #migrants of Bangladeshi, Egyptian and Sudanese nationalities. All disembarked in Tobruk Naval Base and were handed over to CIM.*

In another operation, the 

Libyan Coast Guard (Gen.Cmd.) interdicted off the coast of Tobruk a rubber boat with 36 #migrants of Egyptian & Sudanese nationalities. “All disembarked in Tobruk Naval Base where they received humanitarian & medical assistance provided by LRC” Migrant Rescue Watch stated. 

It also informed that the

Libyan Special Naval Forces jointly with DCIM (Al-Tamimi Bureau) seized in Al-Banamba area an illegal boat yard and apprehended 80 #migrants of Bangladeshi, Egyptian and Sudanese nationalities. 

“The boat yard was completely demolished and the group of #migrants transferred to DCIM custody in Derna.”
