Aegean Boat Report has  announced the  arrival of people at Samos.

The information was shared on its X handle.  The post, titled ‘Arrivals on Samos’ reads:

“In the early hours of today, Aegean Boat Report was contacted by a group reported to be 38 people, who had just arrived on Neo Karlovasi Beach, on the north-western shore of Samos. The group provided photos, videos, and precise location data that left no doubt they were on Samos.

“We advised the group not to hide, but instead move to a publicly accessible area so they could be safely located by authorities. The group walked to the Agios Dimitrios chapel, close to the main road, and local authorities were notified. At 05:40, we lost contact with the group. Later, we were informed that they had been located and transferred to the Closed Controlled Access Centre in Zervou.

“The number of people in this arrival has not been officially confirmed. ⸻ Despite the lack of sustainable funding, our work continues around the clock to monitor people in distress, document human rights violations, and provide independent evidence when authorities fail to protect those seeking safety.”
