Refugees In Libya has descried mass expulsion of people from Libya.
The organisation defends tye rights of people seeking asylum.
“Being a refugee is not a crime -Seeking asylum is a human right!,” Refugees In Libya wrote on its X handle, @RefugeesinLibya .
Decrying the expulsion of people from Libya, Refugees In Libya said “a humiliating mass expulsion of people from Libya via trucks towards their countries. It is not the first time that the local authorities in the city of Kufra expel people seeking safety. In these routes dozens starves to death.
“If it is done under the pretext of them arriving illegally and living in Libya without papers, it doesn’t justify the expulsion of people both by the local and International law in Libya. We call for a world where humans are recognized regardless of their race, religion and capabilities.
Libya is obliged to protect and respect people seeking safety at its borders.
