331 Gambians, Bangladeshis returned from Libya, Algeria
A total of 331 Gambians, and Bangladeshis have been returned from Libya and Algeria.
One hundred and fifty Bangladeshis and 155 Gambians were returned from Libya while 26 Gambians were returned from Algeria.
According to Migrant Rescue Watch “150 Bangladeshi #migrants returned home with consular and IOM assistance via Mitiga Int. Airport in Tripoli.
“Additional VHR flights to Bangladesh will take place on: Benghazi 16 Oct., Tripoli, 21 Oct. and Misrata 23 Oct.”
Providing information on the migrants returned Gambia, IOM The Gambia, said “Yesterday, we welcomed home 181 Gambians migrants:
155 from Libya
26 from Algeria
“They returned through our AVRR program — which aims to help Gambian returning migrants re-start lives back home.
“They join over 2914 voluntary returnees we have so far supported in 2024.”
