Alarmphone remembers victims of Zarzis shipwreck
Two years after the Zarzis shipwreck, AlarmPhone has continued to show solidarity with relations of the victims.
In a message showing its solidarity, AlarmPhone said:
“Two years passed since 17 people died in the #Zarzis shipwreck.
After finding loved ones buried without identification, relatives started the 18/18 movement, taking to the streets, joined by the whole city.
Their struggle for truth and justice is ongoing. We stand by their side.”
Alarmphone had earlier this morning announced that 30 people were in distress in the Central Mediterranean!
It said: “We alerted authorities about a group on a drifting boat. They report that they cannot move on, as engine and compass broke.
“There are people in the water and immediate rescue is urgently needed!”
