Libya repatriates 197 Nigerians, Egyptians, returns 1018 from Tobruk in July

A total of 197 Nigerian and Egyptian migrants have been repatriated by the Libyan authorities.

The repatriations were carried out by the Department for Combating Illegal Migration, DCIM, according to information provided by Migrant Rescue Watch.

The information reads: “DCIM (Southern Region) repatriated with IOM support 163 #migrants including women and children of Nigerian nationality via Sabha International Airport.

“DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center 34 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.”

In the whole of last month it said: “DCIM in the month of July 2024 repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center a total of 1018 #migrants of 10 different nationalities.”
