Unidentified migrants’ bodies washed ashore recovered, another buried

Unidentified bodies of migrants washed ashore have been recovered by the Libyan Red Crescent.

  According to Migrant Rescue Watch , the recovery exercises were carried out by Libyan Red Crescent in Zawiya Branch and Sabratha Branch.

“Libyan Red Crescent (Zawiya Branch) recovered an unidentified #migrant body washed ashore in the port of Marsa Dalah. The body was transferred to hospital’s morgue in Zawiya for completion of procedures.

“Libyan Red Crescent (Sabratha Branch) in response to police report recovered 1 body of an undocumented #migrant washed on the beach in Sabratha. The body was transferred to hospital for completion of procedures.”

Migrant Rescue Watch also informed that “Officers from Al-Manara Police Dept. (Zliten) following completion of legal procedures buried 1 unidentified body of #migrant in Haloufa cemetery for foreigners. The body was recently recovered from the sea.”

It also hinted that “Patrols of Western Region Support Forces thwarted in Zuwara area an attempted boat crossing and apprehended 59 #migrants of different nationalities. All transferred to WRSF HQ in Zuwara pending DCIM notification.”
