IOM, Ghana Immigration Service train officers on use of Migration Information and Data Analysis System

The International Organization for Migration and Ghana Immigration Service have trained officers on the use of Migration Information and Data Analysis System.

IOM Ghana shared the information on its X handle.

It said: “Last week in Pulmakom in the Upper East Region, IOM, in collaboration with @Immigrationgh1, ran a workshop for immigration officers on the use of the Migration Information & Data Analysis System (MIDAS). Officers were taken through traveler information-capturing procedures.

“Officers are using the newly acquired knowledge in their daily work which will further enhance border security across Ghana’s borders.
The workshop was the final one in a series of three that were conducted at Namoo, Mognori & Pulmakom border posts supported by @StateINL.”

Earlier, IOM Ghana said :”The @UNMigNetwork🇬🇭 held its 2nd regular meeting in 2024 & discussed ongoing & planned migration interventions within the @UNinGhana. Agencies also reviewed the draft Global Compact for Migration (GCM) National Implementation Plan, currently under review by the Government.”
