UK to spend £290million to send asylum seekers to Rwanda
The government of United Kingdom will be spending £290 million to send asylum seekers to Rwanda, Louis Michel an organization that combines sea rescue with the principles of feminism anti-racism and anti-facism has alleged.
Rwanda according to Louise Michel has bee described as an unsafe country by the Supreme Court.
Writing under the heading ‘£290million to send people to Rwanda:
Inhumane politics of the UK’ Louise Michel said: “The UK has passed its highly criticised “Safety of Rwanda” bill. The new bill will allow the UK government to forcibly remove people who have fled violence and persecution to Rwanda.”
With no legal routes, Louise Michel said the only option for those wishing to claim asylum in the UK is to enter illegally by small boats.
“Just hours after the British government approved this inhuman bill, five people died while crossing the channel demonstrating once again the need for safe and legal routes to the UK for people claiming international protection.
“Instead of upholding the 1951 UN refugee convention, the #UK has committed £290 million to sending asylum seekers to a country the Supreme Court has ruled unsafe.”
Horrifyingly, it said “the British Home Office will start detaining people in preparation for the inhuman and criminal deportation to #Rwanda in their cruel ‘stop the boats’ campaign.”
