DCIM  repatriates 153 from Benghazi, Tripoli

A total of 153 migrants of Egyptian nationality have been repatriated by the Libyan authorities.  

The repatriation was carried out by the Department for Combating Irregular Migration (DCIM) in Benghazi and Tripoli.

According to a statement by  Migrant Rescue Watch, “DCIM repatriated from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi 33 #migrants including  women and children of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing. The group comprised of security, medical and beggary cases.”

Providing information about the repatriation from Tripoli, Migrant Rescue Watch said:  “DCIM repatriated from Tripoli a group of more than 120 Egyptian #migrants. The group will be transferred over land and return to Egypt via Emsaed border crossing.”

It added that Police in Janzour during routine road control apprehended a group of undocumented #migrants being smuggled in a truck for boat crossing. “All transferred to Janzour Security Directorate for legal action,” it said.
