UK goes tough on employers, landlords keeping irregular migrants
The United Kingdom has read the riot act to employers, and landlords keeping irregular migrants.
Any landlord who errs will pay a fine of £10,000 but no amount is fixed as a fine for erring employers. It only said the fines has been tripled.
This is contained in a separate messages by the UK Home Office.
The messages shared on the UK Home Office X handle reads: “We will not tolerate landlords who house illegal migrants.
From today, we’ve increased the fines for this criminal behaviour to £10,000.
“From today, we have tripled fines for employing illegal migrants.
“We will not tolerate abuse of our immigration system.”
