DCIM repatriates 139, transfers 54 to detention centre

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration, DCIM, has repatriated 139 Bangladeshi citizens.

The DCIM, according to Migrant Rescue Watch also transferred fifty four migrants from Algeria, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Tunisia, Somalia, Syria and Yemen to detention centre in Benghazi.

The Migrant Rescue Watch said: “DCIM in cooperation with Bangladesh Embassy and IOM support repatriated 139 #migrants of Bangladeshi nationality (incl. those released from detention centers) via Benina International Airport.

“DCIM transferred 54 #migrants from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi to Tripoli (via Sirte) for repatriation.

“Reported nationalities: Algeria, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Tunisia, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.”
