Migrant dressed in women’s clothing, driver arrested
A Libyan and an undocumented migrant dressed in female clothing have been arrested.
The suspects, according to Migrant Rescue Watch were arrested by the Police patrols during road check in Brega area. They stopped a vehicle and arrested a Libyan driver for attempted human smuggling of an undocumented #migrant of Egyptian nationality disguised in women’s clothing.
“The driver claimed that he was traveling from Benghazi to Tripoli in company of his wife.
During interrogation at the New Brega Police Dept. it was determined that the arrested Libyan national transported regularly undocumented #migrants for profit and was receiving 1,200 LYD (ca. 250 USD) in payment for his services.
Both individuals referred to public prosecution for legal action.
