Desert patrols arrest undocumented migrants

The plan of an international gang to smuggle
an unspecified number of undocumented migrants of Eritrean and Ethiopian nationalities has been dashed.

A statement by Migrant Rescue Watch said the Desert patrols of 444th Combat Brigade in several operations apprehended the large groups of undocumented migrants of mainly Eritrean and Ethiopian nationalities being smuggled by international gangs and in a separate operation the units seized a convoy of 8 fuel trucks attempting to smuggle its cargo outside of the country.”

In a related development, Police patrols arrested in Bir al-Ashhab area a Libyan driver (S.S.J., born in 1999) during attempted human smuggling of 5 undocumented #migrants of Sudanese nationality.

“All transferred to CID for completion of legal procedures & referral to public prosecution,” Migrant Rescue Watch said.
