Trucks smuggling 60 migrants arrested
Two trucks smuggling 60 undocumented migrants have been apprehended.
Migrant Rescue Watch who broke the news said the Desert Patrol Company of Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade intercepted the 2 pick-up trucks smuggling ca. 60 undocumented #migrants of different nationalities and attempting to reach Sabha.
It said: “The group was transferred to unit’s HQ pending DCIM notification.”
Meanwhile, the DCIM desert patrols rescued 10 #migrants of Sudanese nationality abandoned by smugglers in Wadi Ali area.
According to Migrant Rescue Watch: “The group upon provision of humanitarian assistance was transferred to Immigration Detention Center in Tobruk for completion of procedures. #migrantcrisis”
