Blue Dragon rescues woman trafficked for forced surrogacy
Blue Dragon, an organization that on the mission to end human trafficking has rescued a woman trafficked for forced surrogacy.
Findings by the organisation revealed that the victim was being impregnated for the purpose of harvesting stem cells.
The organisation said: “Blue Dragon has rescued a 36yr old woman who was trafficked and sold for forced surrogacy. Investigations are ongoing but it appears that she was being impregnated in order for the traffickers to harvest stem cells from the baby.
“Fortunately, the attempt at artificially impregnating her failed and she found a way to call for help. This is a highly unusual case and it may be some time before the full story is clear.”
