Eight people not accounted for in Tsilia, Lesvos south, from the arrival earlier today, the group asks for help to be taken to camp.

Aegean Boat Report made the revelation in a post.

It said: “Earlier today we informed of a group of 36 people, 10 of them children, that had arrived on Tsilis Beach, Lesvos south, 8 of them, amongst them 2 children, is still in Tsilia, and was not found and taken to camp.

“We again informed local authorities and organizations by email of the presence of 8 people in Tsilia, exact location, contact number and pictures was provided.

“The group told us that they had communicated directly with the police, and police had told them that they would come to their location, this is now four hours ago.

“The group, especially the two small children are cold, they are without food, water and shelter, and in need of being found and taken to camp, so that they don’t have to spend another night out in cold.”

Aegean Boat Report urged local organizations and authorities to use the information they had been sent from the organization on email, to locate the 8 missing people and transport them to camp.

“If these 8 people will get the assistance they need tonight is difficult to say, both local organizations and police have previously been extremely reluctant to go out to assist people at night, we can only hope that they will make an exception tonight..

“We have also through email asked to be informed when, and if, local assets would go to their aid, no such response has been received on the email sent earlier today, nor the one tonight, perhaps a technical glitch..

We hope the group will be found, so they don’t have to spend the night outside in the cold.

“We will monitor the situation as long as we are in contact with the group.”
