430 migrants intercepted in fishing boat off Zuwara
Four hundred and thirty migrants being trafficked in a fishing boat have been rescued by the Libyan authorities.
Migrant Rescue Watch said they Libyan Coast Guard ship “Murzuq” intercepted the fishing boat off the coast of Zuwara with 430 migrants including women and children of Egyptian, Eritrean and Syrian nationalities.
“All #migrants were brought to safety and disembarked in Tripoli seaport, Migrant Rescue Watch said.
The criminal human smugglers from Zuwara, according to the organisation deliberately sent the heavily overload fishing boat in bad weather conditions in the hope of avoiding interception by the Libyan Coast Guard and ruthlessly attempting to force an international rescue operation.
“Following interception of the fishing boat with 430 #migrants on Thursday some very angry “customers” have revealed publicly names and photos of the human smugglers directly responsible. They are “Ayoub Ibrahim Alakari” & “Essam Dahan”.
