Refugees in Libya, an organization that defends the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, has raised the alarm over the condition of children sleeping in a forest beside UNHCRLibya headquarters in Tripoli.

Refugees in Libya said: “In Tripoli, just a few meters away from the @UNHCRLibya headquarters, a couple hundred of people mostly children are sleeping in the open forest for weeks.
They primarily had camped 3 months outside the UN facility until they were evicted a few weeks ago.

“They have no access to drinking water, food, medical care, tents, blankets or anything basic.

The children suffer from cold, sever fever and malnutrition.
We urgently call on the UNHCR to provide assistance and shelter to these people.”
