Refugees In Libya, a non-profit organization, has criticized UN Refugee Agency, the UNHRC over a refugee’s death in Libya.

The deceased was a young Ethiopian refugee.

Refugees In Libya’s criticism followed a tweet by UNHCR Libya about the refugee’s death.

The Libya UNHCR message reads: “UNHCR is saddened by the death of a young Ethiopian man brought to the Serraj office yesterday by his friends. UNHCR tried to provide medical help but unfortunately, he passed away.

“This tragic death is a stark reminder of the difficult situation of refugees in Libya.”

Reacting to the post, Refugees In Libya asked the UNHCR to “Stop lying about medical help. None of your staffs moved a toe to help out dying friend.

“If Sarraj is a registration centre why don’t you initiate more medical centres for emergency conditions like such?
It rains on us everyday and our children are sick while you are watching.”
