Frontex intensifies moves against human traffickers
Frontex is intensifying its clampdown on human traffickers who are devising different methods to carry out their inimical activities.
The European Border and Coast Guard Agency on its official twitter handle spoke about how human smugglers are latching onto the hot temperatures in many parts of Europe to hide victims in least expected places.
The tweet reads: “With temperatures soaring in many parts of Europe, border guards are on high alert to find people hidden away in vehicles by smugglers. Greedy criminal groups often put innocent lives in imminent danger, packing them inside cars or lorries without access to water or even enough air to breath. Our officers recently helped detect 40 people hidden in a trailer at the Bulgarian-Serbian border. Fortunately, no one was harmed. The suspected smuggler was arrested and the case is now with the Bulgarian authorities.”
