A researcher who goes by the name Jihed has raised concern over border violence in Tunisia.

Jihed said the alarming pattern bears striking resemblance to the practices employed by the Greek coast guard.

He said: “Border_violence in Tunisia is a grave daily concern that cannot be ignored.Reports reveal that the Tunisian coast guard, trained and financed by Europe,is intercepting people seeking safety and subjecting them to brutal beatings.

“This alarming pattern bears striking resemblance to the practices employed by the Greek coast guard. It raises unsettling questions about the connection between these actions and states of the #European Union’s border guards.”

The researcher added that the use of sticks and other violent means to harm and intimidate individuals attempting to seek refuge is simply unacceptable. “No human being should be subjected to such brutality, regardless of circumstances.

This issue extends beyond the mistreatment of migrants. Reports also indicate that similar practices are inflicted upon Tunisians and sub-Saharan Africans, highlighting a systemic problem that warrants immediate attention.

“It is crucial to shed light on the hidden truth behind border violence, expose transnational crimes, and demand accountability.

Stop reinforcing the violent and racist border regime of the EU!

We reject the measures to militarize our borders and enforce externalization.”
