Human smuggler nabbed in Sabratha, accomplices flee
A human smuggler attempting a boat launch in Sabratha has been apprehended by a police patrol team.
The accomplices escaped arrest but police authorities are leaving no stone unturned in making sure they are arrested.
Migrant Rescue Watch which shared the information said: “Police patrols thwarted an attempted boat launch in Sabratha and arrested 1 human smuggler. The rest of accomplices upon police arrival managed to flee the scene. During operation 1 wooden boat with fuel and SUV with boat trailer were seized.
“Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered further investigation into the incident of an attempted human smuggling and issued arrest warrants for fugitive accomplices.”
