DCIM repatriates 411 immigrants from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration in Libya, has repatriated411 immigrants from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center.

Migrant Rescue Watch released the information on April 14.

The information reads: “DCIM transferred / repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center a total of 411 #migrants of different nationalities. All Egyptian nationals were repatriated via Emsaed border crossing & remaining transferred to Qanfudah IDC in Benghazi.”

The same day, Migrant Rescue Watch said the  Head of DCIM (Southern Region) Maj.Gen. Al-Ansari conducted administrative inspection of branches in Umm Al-Aranib area. “The inspection aimed at assessing readiness of DCIM personnel and boosting their morale.

“During  visit he emphasized the importance of executing assigned duties with utmost efficiency and discipline.

Prior to that period, it said the  Sabratha Security Directorate transferred to DCIM custody in Tripoli a group of undocumented #migrants including  women who were apprehended during security checks in the city.

Migrant Rescue Watch added that the DCIM jointly with LNA and  GA Central Support carry out security operations in Tobruk targeting #migrant workers and undocumented #migrants. “The ops aim at increasing public security and adherence to law &  order.”

On April 11, a statement by the organization said the Counter-Security Threats Agency thwarted an attempted boat crossing in Sorman area and apprehended a large group of #migrants including women & children of different nationalities. “All upon provision of humanitarian aid transferred to DCIM custody.”
