Weather in Central Mediterranean extremely dangerous for departures- Alarmphone warns
Alarm Phone, an organization that provides independent support for people crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the EU has warned that the weather in the CentralMediterranean is extremely dangerous for departures.
The group particularly enjoined prospective travellers from Libya and Tunisia to be aware of the development and consider the information when planning their journeys.
“Weather alert for the Central Med! The weather in the Central #Mediterranean is extremely dangerous for departures. We hope that people planning to leave #Tunisia or #Libya in the next days are aware and will consider the weather conditions,” Alarm Phone said.
In a separate post, the organization informed that 29 people, including 6 children, are in distress in the #WesternMed. “They left #Algeria 4 days ago and have lost orientation. Their phones are almost out of battery, soon they won’t be able to communicate with people on land. @Salvamentogob is informed, we hope they will be found!”
