Refugees In Niger has called on humanitarian organizations across the globe for assistance as it describes the situation at the Agadez humanitarian center as catastrophic.

The group has continued to hold peace protest to draw the attention of the world and people cum organisations that matter to itself to no avail.

“We appeal to humanitarian organizations and the international community the situation at the Agadez humanitarian center is catastrophic Refugees lack the most basic necessities of life. 505 days of peaceful protest demanding life,”the group wrote on its X handle.

Prior to the above post, the group posted that the “#Agadez refugee center continues its peaceful protest for the 505 day The ongoing daily peaceful protest at the center has exposed to the world the inadequacy of humanitarian organizations and their ineffective work.”

The group noted that Agadez is not a failure “it is the system itself External borders managed suffering suspended rights Europe is complicit in the repression the security apparatus adapts and people disappear This is not immigration policy it is a whitewashing of responsibility Take responsibility.”

The embattled group”said it  had  recently taken its protest to the UN refugee agency office. “Refugees at the Agadez center continue their peaceful protest for a day in front of the UNHCR office at the center demanding international protection for their children in a safe and independent place.”

Would they be heard or continued to be ignored?

The silence of the world on the predicaments of the refugees reeks of callousness and gross inhumanity.

We are voiceforafricanmigrants.org lend our voice to that of the refugees and call on the #UNHCR to give them the deserved attention.
