10 people in critical condition after underground human trafficking prison was busted in Libya
Ten people were found in critical conditions after underground human trafficking prison was busted in Libya last week.
Twenty-one lifeless bodies were found in a shallow grave in the area.
A researcher who goes by the name jihed on X, formerly twitter announced that the 10 people in critical conditions, had been rushed to hospital.
His words: “New secret underground prison for human trafficking uncovered in AlKufra, #Libya. 3 meters underground. 221 people freed women, children a one-month-old baby. Held for over TWO YEARS in inhuman conditions. This is not #migration “management”. This is torture
“More than 10 people in critical condition rushed to hospital. The trafficker resisted arrest with a weapon. Everyone knew. Everyone looked away. EU #externalization, militias, silence this is the system you fund and legitimize.”
Jihed apologised for exposing the faces of the rescued people in a picture he shared. “I’m sorry I had to share faces But families are desperately searching for missing loved ones. Organisations outside are reduced to collecting names with no real capacity,no access,no connections on the ground People are searching by themselves because the system failed them.”
