Chadian/ Sudanese migrant allegedly murdered in Libya
A migrant suspected to be a Chadian or a Sudanese has been allegedly murdered in Libya.
Refugees In Libya announced this in a post on its X platform.
The post capitalized and boldly titled “SUSPECTED MURDER ANNOUNCEMENT – LIBYA” reads: “The Al-Shweirif Police Station announced the discovery of a body lying on a desert road in the Masah Al-Nahr area, about 10 km from the city of Al-Shweirif.
It was also found that the body is of unknown identity, as no identification papers or documents were found in his possession. But he’s likely to be a Chadian or Sudanese citizen. The deceased was carrying a sack (bag) and some personal equipment, and his condition and belongings indicated that he was working as a shepherd in that area.
“We call on the authorities in the Area to immediately initiate an independent and thorough investigation for possible criminal acts and murder.”
