DCIM repatriates 52 Chadian, Egyptian, Nigerien, Sudanese nationalities

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) Libya, has repatriated 52 Chadian, Egyptian, Nigerien, and Sudanese nationalities.

The repatriation was done in two batches of 25 and 27.

The first batch according to Migrant Rescue Watch comprised mainly Egyptians repatriated via Emsaed land border crossing.

“DCIM repatriated from Shahat Immigration Detention Center 25 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing,” Migrant Rescue Watch said.

In a separate procedure, Migrant Rescue Watch said  12 migrants including women and children were transferred from Shahat IDC to Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi for repatriation.”

It also noted that the DCIM in Al-Marj between 08-11.25  and 24.11.25 repatriated and or transferred for repatriation 27 #migrants of Chadian, Egyptian, Nigerien and Sudanese nationalities. The groups included illegal entry and medical cases.

Migrant Rescue Watch in a separate statement said the Joint patrols of DCIM and military (Western Mountain Military Region) seized in Al-Ramla area 2 vehicles and arrested 2 drivers of Algerian and Libyan nationalities for attempted human smuggling of 12 undocumented #migrants of sub-Saharan nationalities, adding that the “Consular representatives of Bangladesh held meeting with DCIM staff at the East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center in Tajoura. During meeting strengthening of cooperation and coordination of efforts in registering detained #migrants were discussed.”
