The International Organisation for Migration, IOM, is mourning the loss of lives in two shipwrecks off Lampedusa.
The organisation posted information about the ugly development on its X handle.
the post reads: “IOM mourns the loss of lives in two shipwrecks off #Lampedusa this weekend. At least 23 people died and 11 survived Friday’s tragedy at sea. On Sunday, 3 more lives were lost and many people remain in critical condition. IOM staff are on the ground assisting survivors.”
