AMHP, CYID hold three-day Cultural Hangout Festival in London
Cultural Hangout Festival, a 3-Day Event Celebrating Africa Day with a landmark will hold in London between May 25 and 27, 2025.
The event is organized by Africa Multicultural and Heritage Promotion Ltd and Centre for Youths Integrated Development (CYID) .
Days 1 and 2 of the event will take place at MPW 90-92 Queen’s Gate, South Kensington, London, SW7 5AB United Kingdom.
The third day, according to the organisers is strictly by invitation.
A statement by the Project Coordinator, Bisi Obadara said: “The Cultural Hangout Festival (CHF) 2025 is set to take place from May 25th to 27th, 2025, bringing together Africans, people of African descent, and lovers of Africa under one roof to celebrate Africa Day through culture, trade, and heritage.”
Highlighting the significance of Africa Day, the statement said “Africa Day, celebrated annually on May 25th, marks the founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) in 1963, now known as the African Union (AU). It is a day dedicated to reflecting on Africa’s journey, celebrating its achievements, and addressing challenges that shape the continent’s future.
“For decades, Africa Day has been recognised across the continent, but CHF 2025 will be the first of its kind in London, creating a dedicated space for Africans and the diaspora to
connect, share knowledge, and promote African cultural identity on a global stage.”
Providing information about the Cultural Hangout Festival (CHF) 2025, the statement said :“CHF 2025 is designed to honor the past, celebrate the present, and build the future by fostering cultural appreciation, economic engagement, and diaspora connections. This historic event will showcase Africa’s rich traditions, artistic excellence, and economic potential through:
· Cultural Performances – Experience the vibrancy of African music, dance, storytelling, and artistic
expression.
· Trade & Investment Conversations – Engage with business leaders, policymakers, and investors
on Africa’s economic opportunities.
· Fashion & Art Showcase – Discover the beauty and creativity of African fashion designers, artists,
and craftsmen.
· Diaspora Engagement & Networking – Strengthening ties between Africans on the continent and
in the diaspora.
· Gala Night & Awards Ceremony – Recognizing key figures and organizations contributing to
Africa’s cultural and economic growth.”
It added that CHF 2025 is not just a festival stressing that: “It’s a movement, one that seeks to elevate Africa’s cultural pride,
