Fifty one people rescued by Nadir have disembarked at Lampedusa, Resqship said.

In a statement announcing the disembarkation, Resqship said : “The night before last, the #Nadir found a wooden boat with 51 people on board. The boat had 2 decks. For safety reasons, all were brought aboard the Nadir and provided with emergency care. Our crew brought the people to #Lampedusa, where they were able to disembark yesterday.

Until this encounter, the #Nadir had been unsuccessfully searching for a boat in distress. The case had been reported by @alarm_phone.

Later, we learned that the boat had reached Lampedusa.

“We are relieved that all the people safely arrived on Lampedusa because, too often, the fate of those in distress on the central Mediterranean remains unclear.”

Few days earlier, Resqship said  the crew of the #Nadir witnessed an interception by the “so called Libyan Coast Guard in the Maltese SAR Zone, 20miles north of the Libyan SAR Zone. The libyan patrol vessel left the scene already, behind stays an empty boat and the worry what will happen to the people.”
